Description

Here are pages 17 & 18 DPS from the historic origin one shot Batman Who Laughs #1...and...this is BWL's first solo story.

Written by James Tynion IV and drawn by Riley Rossmo.

When these pages became available, I mainly wanted this DPS because it has it all: Barbatos, the Dark Knights, the evil Robins..and, the masterful Batman Who Laughs sitting on his throne of skulls.

There are so many panels of the BWL...ending with his maniacal laugh in the last bottom right panel.

As with many Rossmo pages, there are bonus sketches on the back.

I have been lucky to have creators sign these pages: Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo (original creators) and James Tynion IV (writer). As soon as I am able to get Riley Rossmo sign them, I am gonna frame this.

Rossmo's art is just off kilter enough with his madcap style to bring the insane energy of the character to life.

I totally agree that Rossmo's surrealistic art style was perfectly suited for the BWL's origin..

Oh, man, an outstanding spread! Killer example from one of the most memorable and scary Big 2 stories I've ever read! Really digging that gritty line work...Rossmo was truly a perfect match for the subject matter! Congrats!
