DescriptionAs with most of my throne pieces, I gave Ed his choice of several characters to claim the throne. He chose the Fantastic Four’s “Ever Lovin’ Blue Eyed Thing”, Ben Grimm. As a matter of fact, my email had barely left my computer before I had already received Ed’s reply of “The Thing!”, so it was nice to see he was excited. To say I was floored by what he delivered with this piece is an understatement. Especially since Ed said it’s his most favorite Thing drawing he’s ever done, which is both pretty cool and high praise considering all the work he’s done for Marvel on this character. I love how regal and powerful this piece looks, simply through the use of the Hulk-buster armor which made the perfect throne for a character with Thing’s presence.Social/Sharing |

Before I even read your description, I was going to say that Ed does a great Thing (see my Stan Lee Meets Doctor Doom DPS). Need I say it? Instant fave! Probably Top 5 from your theme collection. Congrats buddy!

One of the best in your IT collection, and that's saying something! Love Ed's thing and this is a great example. Perfect cartoony detailing and the fact that he used the Hulkbuster as basis for the throne?! Perfect. Congrats!

Ben is one of the most difficult characters, I think, for artists to draw well. McGuinness does him as beautifully as anyone working today. Great addition!
