DescriptionThis is Nicola Scott's art for the Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary Special. This piece, titled Wonder Women of the Multiverse, was created by Nicola Scott and colors by Annette Kwok in the final version.These Wonder Women - in order from left to right - come from Earth-2, Amazonia, Red Son, Kingdom Come, Flashpoint, DC Bombshells, Earth One, Dark Knight Returns, Injustice, and The New Frontier. Wowsers! A worthy tribute to the evolution of the character. And Nicola was just the right person for the job. Royd introduced me to her one year at SDCC. Such a delightful chat. Thanks for reminding me of that fun memory!

Infinite versions of Wonder Woman can mean something different for each audience through the years, but they will always stand strong together thoughout time and space! Scott does some of her best work here in this amazing tribute piece!

If you start looking at them all from the front of the line and work your way up towards the back, at first glance one might think the faces are all the same, as the lips seem very similar, especially on the first 5 versions. But a careful examination of all their faces reveals that Nicola actually referenced different women for every single face, with each one clearly having distinct facial bone structures and being of diverse nationalities. That she illustrated them with such fastidious care is really heartening, as it shows that the work is so much more than "just another assignment" to her. It's a stupendous tour de force that even rivals some of the loveliest George Pérez covers.
It's a real treat to have had the opportunity to see and study this piece, easily one of the nicest Wonder Woman works of art I've seen in many years. Kudos to Nicola and also to you for acquiring it, Jill. Well done!

With all due respect to Marvel's multiverse, this image of infinite Wonder Women on infinite Earths is just about as DC as DC gets! (I was originally going to write, "That's a Hola-tta Wonder Women!" but I thought better of it.) Cheers!

Stunning WW piece! Love seeing the many variations of the character! Gorgeous layout with the ascending WWs and the different earths above them. Kudos to Nicola Scott for a jaw-dropping illustration!
