DescriptionSean was firing on all cylinders on this page. It's brutal, but beautiful. And I love the Zaffino signForever indebted to the previous owner for letting this one go Social/Sharing |

Thanks man! Yeah I was reading Sin City for the first time recenly (I know...I know...bout time) and there's an almost identical framing of Marv dragging someone throught the pavement from his car. It feels too similar for it to be a coincidence. Made me love it that much more :)

Sean actually used a similar (less brutal) sequence at the end of Punk Rock Jesus, so I thought it was inspired by that rather than Sin City.* In any case, congrats on another Tokyo Ghost page!
*Still haven't read Sin City either... :)

Ah interesting! I must admit I haven't read PRJ yet :'(
I just added the Sin City panel to the additional images up top - seems too close to be a coincidence. I suppose they could both homages to the same Sin City panel

Panel 3 looks like Jack Davis! I wonder if he was an influence on Sean. Great half splash with beautiful black and white composition. No one draws cars and vehicles like this guy. Love the dysto-future background. Congrats!

Another great page with so many fun elements and panels. It's an early warning of what you'll get through the series. Not for the feint of heart. Congrats!

Another jewel in your Tokyo Ghost crown. As great as this page is, you've got one I love more! ;)
Congratulations!!! This is a big score and, yes, a brutal moment!

A stunner from the series! Just noticed the Zaffino knod in the background of the bottom panel. Super cool.

Now that's a memorable page! Kinda funny Led left Sean's fingerprint on the guy's face. Led = SGM confirmed?
Congrats :)

I like how he's missing teeth like the sign is missing the "A" right underneath.

Powerful page from Tokyo Ghost. Those first few panels may be incredibly brutal, but that final splash panel is jaw dropping! Sean Murphy is one of the most talented comic artists out there right now. And this page demonstrates why.

Fantastic page. I like the design with it being one large splash with overlaying panels. That has to be a tribute to the Otomo with an Akira powerslide. Really great page!
