DescriptionOriginally commissioned by Lucasfilm under George Lucas, for use as a limited edition print licensed by ACME Archives Direct, this oil painting was held in approvals until after the sale of Lucasfilm LTD to Disney. Unfortunately, after the completion of Disney's acquisition, there was concern over what was Star Wars canon and what was not, so any non-canonical depictions of Star Wars characters were not approved. Since this painting does not depict a scene that was explicitly shown in the films, it fell into that category.Painted in oils on 36x24 inch stretched canvas. Even though unpublished, this piece is considered official Star Wars art as it was originally commissioned by Lucasfilm. Currently it is framed and hangs in my house but it is available for sale.
