Description

One of my favorite movies I watched as a kid. I absolutely loved Forbidden Planet! Lesley Nielsen and Robby the Robot were amazing. I did a series of sketches for a private commission (executed in pen and ink) and one day, years later, I found a bunch of the thumbnail sketches and decided I wanted to do a full painting just because I loved the movie. Painted using Gouache on 11x17 illustration board.

Currently the piece hangs in my studio and is framed using archival materials, measuring 17.25 x 23.25 inches.
