DescriptionHere is my Holy Grail of all my pages. The finale end page to the one comic that defined my childhood. When I read this comic as a wee tike, I was blown away at seeing two heroes battling to the "death" (spoiler alert for those who have not read Fantastic Four #112). I remember tracing the classic cover to this issue and taping it to my bedroom wall. Of all the pages from this comic, this finale page speaks to me the most, as I remember being moved by seeing the Thing lying dead on the ground. I am very thankful to be the caretaker for this historic page. Note: I share more details on how I acquired this page in my Comic Art Live Collector's Spotlight interview with Bill on You Tube. Absolute classic in the long history of Hulk vs Thing battles. The peak period Buscema/Sinnott art is SO good!

You must have been very young to have thought Ben was dead! Fun page. Overwrought, overwritten Marvel at its best.

Glorious closing page. All those classic FF features, with Reed's anguished face and the pathos of the Thing's fate. To get a Hulk transformation in there too is very special. Congrats!

What a wonderfully awful end page. I remember this one as well. Hated the idea that the Thing had died, It really hit me. But fortunately he recofered, as they say. But it obviously hit you pretty hard too. I;m hjppy for you that you were able to acquire your grail. It's a very cool get.

Simply put the starling conclusion to... THE BEST COMIC EVER!!! Some interesting production things going on here in the 5th and 7th panels. Hard to tell if they are stats or moved panels- I'd be curious if the original drawings were larger/smaller if stats, or what was originally drawn if replacement panels.I also looks like they scratched on a clear overlay to get the white cross-hatch effect on the Hulk and "aftermath". Just an all-around amazing page!!!

Thanks for your comment Bill. The stats atre over original aet, where they repositioned the characters.

Although this comment comes so late, it is nevertheless heartfelt. Most of us know the feeling when we obtain THE page that is closest to our hearts. It is an indescribable feeling. I am so happy for you. Indeed, any finale page would be significant in and of itself. This one goes much, much further than that - and then some! Many congratulations, my friend!
