DescriptionWell when I saw this Nova page pop up a few months back in Enrico's awesome gallery, I immediately reached out as I knew where this page belonged - with the rest of Nova 11 and I am well on the way to achieving that goal. Nova is a nostalgia hot spot for me and the Sphinx was a great villain/character with #11 a highlight of the Sphinx-Nova relationship.I was about to pull the trigger on a nice BWS piece that popped up from Hans when the owner of this splash emailed me to say 'let's do the trade' with the same BWS piece...I thought, heck, I need that Nova 11 splash - y'know "the heart wants what the heart wants"...even though I prefer BWS as an artist. Another example of a win-win trade in this hobby! I will be posting more issue 11 pages but not all of them -so if you have one that I can purchase or work an amenable trade, please help me complete the book! Social/Sharing |

Brings back great memories; I was also a huge Nova fan. Always loved the costume design, and was surprised to learn years later that it was Marv Wolfman's, always assumed Romita or Buscema did it. Very cool and congrats! Those good feelings of owning something fondly remembered from your childhood are priceless!

Good luck on your quest to reunite this boo Mark! In addition to Frank Giacoia's forceful inks on this page, I really love Marv's writing that sets up an issue that you can't wait to read. Nice work picking up this splash, it's a real winner!

If there's one thing Sal B. could draw it was the booming punches - GREAT example here! Dude's being punched right into the reader! Also gotta love all the title lettering surrounding. Sweet piece all around. Congrats!

Mark, it's been a huge pleasure trading with you (and Hans!) and I'm very happy to know this page -that's been with me for longer than the current century- is now in a loving home with her sisters. Hopefully the family will be whole soon! Happy collecting!
