Description(Summer 1978) (DC Comics) This specific Batman cover is not only significant being that it was illustrated during Marshall Rogers' "1976 to 1979" classically memorable and all too short run on Detective Comics #'s 466-468, 471-479, & 481 and in Batman Family #11 too, but this actual Batman cover is 1 of only 2 times that Marshall Rogers "BOTH" penciled & inked "A PRIME PERIOD" Batman cover where others were inked by either Terry Austin or Dick Giordano! On a more personal note, this "DC Special #15" Batman cover art is particularly important as it is one of the first comics I bought off the stands in August 1978; which is when I "technically" began reading and collecting comic books as an active hobbyist:-) (William Marshall Rogers III: 1/22/1950 to 3/24/2007)Social/Sharing |

Incredible cover. Marshall is one of the all-time greats and one of the best bat artists. Super jealous of this cover and many of the other pieces in your collection.

One of my favorite Rogers covers. Great comic and even greater art from one of the greatest Batman artists.
