Description

Magnificent splash by the one and only Dave Stevens. This page features a hulking depiction of the villain Lothar (modelled after Rondo Hatton). Lothar rises from a large audience crowded with many famous Hollywood faces reverently captured by Dave.

This page is 100% Dave Stevens. Story has it this was one of the very first pages Dave drew for his second Rocketeer adventure story. Dave said that he modeled his villain after Rondo Hatton and he was inspired to create this dramatic image early in the development of the story. It is a very large illustration and on larger board than the standard story pages.
