DescriptionAvengers disassembled kickstarted something truly spectacular in terms of storytelling. A larger marvel comics wide narrative, which lasted many years post this story. New Avengers, civil war, Secret Invasion, siege, "no more Mutants".. it all started here.. Have been after a page from this story for a long time.Social/Sharing |

'Wait...wuzzat? Oh, crap...' Heh, that look from Cap is killing me. I love how Finch set the tension and immediacy of this scene by making short, choppy panels, and inching closer for Cap's reaction. Fantastic visual storytelling. Congrats!

J H nailed it (as usual)! :) I'm an absolute sucker for a great vertical layout page, and here you have the rarest of birds: a vertical layout DPS! The space is the key here, and about how "empty" everything looks on the left... then how alarmingly and quickly the space fills with peril (and zooms in on Cap to underscore everything). Fabulous, awesome storytelling from this undeniable turning point in Avengers history. Beauty, Kit! Great pick up - congrats!

Thanks budd.. perfectly articulated, as usual. your comments remind me of a discussion I had with someone about this page, and their argument was that there isnt much going on , on the first page ( we were discussing super high price on this one). and my argument really was what you mentioned. even blank space on the first page is a choice of "art". Many would feel that you need a page to be choke full of characters to cost more.. but sometimes.. its about the storytelling choices ( ofcourse, heritage mania and shocking rise of prices aside .. )
