Description

In the modern era, are there many iconic covers focused solely on the pairing of Superman and Wonder Woman? I don't think so, but either way, this piece made me consider what makes a cover "iconic" or memorable. It's a topic people could write entire essays on, but for me, I'm happy enough to sit back and admire this beauty. With artwork by Tony Daniel, when the man is on fire, his art is simply top tier! A terrific piece of art, featuring Superman, Wonder Woman, and Zod (peering through a crack from the Phantom Zone), I simply adore everything about this cover and its characters and could go on and on about how I'm delighted to own it.

Wonderful example of Wonder Woman and Superman, Tony is just so damn talented. One day, I'll own something by him. Great get Oct!

When Tony was prepping to do the series, I asked what this relationship was going to be like between the two and he said it was going to be a romance. I told him they better not kiss right away or else all tension will be gone. He agreed. A few issues in they were already kissing on the variant cover. It lasted 29 issues.

I'm kneeling, Zod. I'm kneeling! Great point in what makes a cover iconic. This s a great, dynamic image of the two, with a very cleverly placed Zod. The image pops, and is just what you want to see for these two titans. Love it. Congrats!

A beautiful cover featuring these two great characters, but it's Zod peering from behind that puts itover the top for me!
