Another awesome pick-up from Comic Art Live last month! From what I was told, this piece was heavily sought after, so I'm glad I snagged it! I mean, what's not to love? You have Tom Grummett drawing the Man of Steel doing battle with the Atomic Skull in a simply awesome battle page! Oh, and Lois...Lois is there too!

Great page with four excellent panels!! But why is Atomic Skull calling Lois Zelda?

I'm thinking it's because he probably isn't right in the head, which makes sense, since his head is, well, you know...on fire...and atomic.

Great pencils and inks, lovely layouts too. I LOVE skulls in my illustration, so any skull headed character looks cool! The Atomic Skull is such a great name, too. As for why he's calling her Zelda, it's because he suffers from dementia and thinks he's a character from an old movie serial on a quest to save his girlfriend Zelda. So you're right, Simon, his mind's not right, but not because he's atomic. Then again, maybe being atomic IS a cause of dementia, who knows?

Grummett page from 1997! This was the lead-in for Electric Blue Superman the next issue and this page has a Grummett battle that would give him those new powers!
