DescriptionBack in 2017, I was lucky enough to meet James O'Barr, creator of The Crow, and he did a great piece for me at a show. However, back in November 2020, I let go of that piece & ever since, I kind of regretted it.Luckily, a buddy of mine was open to selling his proper O'Barr commission that he got at the same show. And even more lucky, from an artistic perspective, this piece is an upgrade over my original one in almost every way. There's more body to it, the same moody composition yet there is more story to this one. You can hardly get a more fitting commission than this dark & moody Eric in the rain by the creator himself. The piece is done in pencils, inks & watercolors & measures 9 by 12. Social/Sharing |

Definitely like the moodiness, the crow being there, and that rain effect. Sweet O'Barr image all around. Congrats!

Thanks, Kahlil! It won't take long before I'm re-reading that first TPB again, now, thanks to having this piece in hand!

O'Barr put a lot of care crafting this one with a soulful look as his life's purpose has been changed. The Crow's a meditation on how to cope with pain and loss which is why the character still resonates to this day.

Among so many classic stories in the medium, The Crow is one of those for the ages, for sure.
