"Rar!"

Here, I present to you the very first Fantastic Four Dinosaur that Ryan North has ever drawn.

Going full circle from his Dinosaur Comics to his latest work on "Fantastic Four", already one of my top 2-3 runs on the characters, Ryan doodled this at Dutch Comic Con in June 2025.

As evidenced by his work on "Unbeatable Squirrel Girl" & "Adventure Time", Ryan is a great writer. The most absurd and outlandish stories work thanks to his comedic talents, but often they're also emotionally strong - while teaching the audience something new. Whether that's computer science or something else, you'll be learning!

He's also very considerate. Those gutter notes in these two series I just mentioned? It's to help the reader enjoy the expensive comic for a longer while, same as that "Choose your own Adventure" issue of "Squirrel Girl".

Anyway. I love his "Fantastic Four" and I'm anxiously waiting for a nice hardcover of the run. For now, I got my TPBs signed and asked him to doodle something. He started drawing a dinosaur - and in reference to his "Fantastic Four" #12, I asked if he could add the Fantastic Four logo.

So, actually, you see here Reed Richard of Earth-TRN1101! Love the house. Even on this quick convention sketch, Ryan added a small gag. Rar, indeed.
