Comic Con Paris 2018 offered me the chance to meet two Batman legends. When meeting Frank Miller, there was unfortunately no way to get a sketch, but luckily, I had a back-up with that other Batman legend: Neal Adams, probably the most important Batman artist still alive.

I did my research upfront and ordered a small commission of - of course - the Dark Knight. The piece itself is like many others, except this one still has the Bat logo, & has a special seal on the back.

The transaction of picking it up, as well, felt very... Dime in a dozen. You got one signature and one photograph for free - maybe that was why.

Neal was super friendly once I got to him, shook my hand, we took a picture and talked a bit. But there was just this feeling of this being a business transaction, which in a way it was.

Maybe a smaller anecdote, but I'll never forgot, was that Neal signed my TPB one the front cover & I asked if he could sign it in the book itself. I was afraid it'd fade away throughout the years, but he smiled and said that that would only happen if I scratch it off. I mean, his signature has a certain economical value so I understand.
