Description

A few years ago, Todor Hristov (Stranger Things; The Forever Map) did a gorgeous rendition of Daredevil over a snowy HelL's Kitchen for me. Throughout the years ever since, I've been seeing him do some great pieces and recently, those drew me in all over again.

I felt like his gritty style would be a good fit for a Batman commission, and I wasn't wrong. This is such an atmospheric piece that oozes "Batman" and maybe even more "The Batman".

A perched, brooding Caped Crusader watching over his city - with just the right amount of detail sprinkled throughout. We have some gothic buildings, flanked by skyscrapers, while with just a few brush strokes, Todor hints at those cars at the bottom of the page.

This commission was created on an 11x17 board with pencil, ink, liquid charcoal and whiteout. As always, the whole process with Todor was a breeze. He created some prelims, informed me all the way - and he even gave me a nice returning customer discount.
