DescriptionI grew up reading Dillin's JLA (for Dietmar + my other German + Austrian buddies: The great Ehapa albums "Die Gerechtigkeitsliga" :) )and this really is my first page by him.. The primary focus lies on the team's resident romantic couple, Green Arrow (who always left the Jla, than became a member for a few issues, then left again, and so on during the 1970s) and Black Canary, but also includes Zatanna in her sexy, late 1970s stretch- outfit :) The weird thing on this page: on the 2nd panel, GL Looks at a very unaccurate drawn map of Europe and the pointed star there shows where this issue's villian (Felix Faust) lurks: it's exactly where I live: Vienna, Austria (although Hawkman mutters that this is near Zurich in Switzerland :)- which is of course wrong, becourse everyone knows that Latveria is located here !! Dick Dillin drew all but one issue of Justice League of America for a 12-year period (!) starting with #64 in 1968 and going until 1980. The story featuring this page was published not long before he passed away. The next issue, #183, would be his last as ha left us way too early. Look up my other Dick Dillin JLA page if you like what you see here!Social/Sharing |

Im in New Zealand....its fascinating how Americancentric it all is thats why they get things wrong. BUT I too bloody LOVE these comics. Did they (DC) ever create an Austrian super hero or villian? We have Tuatara!
