Description

Original cover to Wolverine Origins #28 drawn by the master Mike Deodato back in 2008.

I got this signed by Mike and the writer Daniel Way.

It's easy to see why this cover is in my Top 10 List of Favorite covers.

I was drawn in by the haunting gaze of Wolverine and Mike's wonderful use of negative space.

Truly a great piece of art.

Big Mahalo to Anthony Snyder. Many years ago, this was one of the early pieces of art that he let me acquire via time payments...making it easier to be the caretaker.

I remember selling 2 of my Hulk #181 (F/VF copies) to raise funds for this cover...totally worth it!!!!

Sometimes an iconic image is all there is. It is strong enough to stand on its own. It will remain etched in the mind and soul of those who gaze upon it. It will withstand the test of time to remain what it was created for, For all time.

I really loved Deodato's 2000s period, when he was doing all this high contrast, super tight/dark pencils only work. It's my favourite period of his career, actually, and this piece is a wonderful example of it. Well done, my friend!

My favorite period for Mike Deodato art. I love the pencil-only approach he used at this time. Fantastic cover, congratulations and thanks for sharing!
