DescriptionOne of my earlier covers and my first Sam Kieth piece that I was fortunate to obtain.I had been searching for a Kieth interior page (Batman or Sandman), and wasn't lucky to get one, so when this became available, I decided to "settle" for getting one of his covers. Throughout the years, I have traded pieces to get others...and, I almost traded this away. I am very glad I didn't. It is pure Kieth goodness. Sam's take on Venom is superb...fun and mesmerizing at the same time. I even like the way he signed the cover...by cutting out a separate piece of comic board, signing, then pasting it over the cover (see second pic). Note: he used black duct tape to cover the top of the art board...knowing that is where the title trade dress would go. I wonder if there is original art under the duct tape....Hmmmmm Social/Sharing |

Deliciously drawn and inked in the Kieth manner showing the full gregarious Venom persona that's as big and outsized as he his physically!

Its been over 10 years now. Best way to put it, I got this when it was still affordable :)

Woah, such a fantastic cover. Love Sam's Venom! Kudos for you still having it after so many years. I am sure there were plenty of tempting offers for it.

Fabulous Venom cover by the incredible Sam Kieth. You can't beat Sam when you want an artist to portray a seriously wacked character like Venom. Congrats!
