One of my earlier covers and my first Sam Kieth piece that I was fortunate to obtain.

I had been searching for a Kieth interior page (Batman or Sandman), and wasn't lucky to get one, so when this became available, I decided to "settle" for getting one of his covers.

Throughout the years, I have traded pieces to get others...and, I almost traded this away.
I am very glad I didn't.

It is pure Kieth goodness.
Sam's take on Venom is superb...fun and mesmerizing at the same time.

I even like the way he signed the cover...by cutting out a separate piece of comic board, signing, then pasting it over the cover (see second pic).

Note: he used black duct tape to cover the top of the art board...knowing that is where the title trade dress would go.
I wonder if there is original art under the duct tape....Hmmmmm

Its been over 10 years now. Best way to put it, I got this when it was still affordable :)

I remember struggling to find any Kieth interior pages, and I had to "settle" for getting one of his covers.

Fabulous Venom cover by the incredible Sam Kieth. You can't beat Sam when you want an artist to portray a seriously wacked character like Venom. Congrats!
