Description

A delightful miniature measuring 5" x 5", matted to 7" x 7". Newton captures the WWII-era steadfastness of Jack Binder's original conceptualization, with out-thrust jaw and shoulders to match and a warplane motif (background) reminiscent of the 1942 debut issue of Captain Midnight. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with painted white highlights. Likely published in a comic fanzine in the early 70's.
