Description

Apologies for the bad image (will replace with a better scan later). To me, Seth Fisher's two issues of Doom Patrol vol. 3 stand amongst the best takes on the DP ever. I was a fan when they came out, interviewed Seth for a local comics fanzine, met him briefly at San Diego in '03 (when he drew me a lovely lil' Cliff sketch) and was saddened to hear of his passing in 2006. It never occurred to me that I might one day be able to have one of his pages as a memento but here we are. Struck out on my first attempt and a couple weeks back came through in the final drop from Felix Comic Art. A jewel in my Doom Patrol collection.

Fisher's delicate linework for pipes, conduits, and tech on this art is mazelike and sprawls throughout as a motif in many of his stories.

Indeed. As a fan I was really drawn to his super distinctive way of drawinflg fine details, and it's specifically what grabbed me about this page.
