Jimmy Olsen paces nervously in the waiting room as Lois Kent gives birth to a baby girl. Meanwhile, Abin Sur introduces Alan Scott (Golden Age Green Lantern) to Superman, who is unaware of his new fatherhood on this page from the Elseworld story "1953: Absent Friends".

Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.2" x 14.75".
Signed by John Byrne in the lower margin.
The text is all hand-lettered paste-ups.
