Luis Bermejo drew the adaptation by Nicola Cuti of the Ralph Bakshi animated film (1978), based on the first two volumes of The Lord of the Rings.

Bermejo introduces new passages and changes the order of some scenes.
The film ended with the protagonists in Helm's Deep and the comic with Frodo, Sam and Gollum in front of Mordor's Gate.
I remember the feeling of emptiness after being unfinished both unfinished stories that only narrate The Fellowship of the Ring and half of The Two Towers, with Aragorn, Gandalf and King Theoden triumphant after the Battle of Helm's Deep and Frodo, Sam and Gollum before The Gate of Mordor, having omitted the encounter with Ella-Laraña as they say in Memoirs of a Morlock. http://juanroyo.blogspot.com/2016/01/el-senor-de-los-anillos-de-luis-bermejo.html
