Description

My wife and I were excited to make this purchase at the SDCC in 2022. We also met Bill Cox for the first time and were able to show off our new Finch Cover. Not only that, but when we brought it to David Finch to autograph it, he was really excited to see the finished page as he hadn't seen it since sending it to Danny Miki to be inked.

I think meeting Bill Cox is the least exciting part of this story. Miki and Finch are the real stars here.

Another fantastic piece in a collection of fantastic pieces. The background in this one is wonderful giving Batman a three dimensionality and a grittiness to go with his expression. I also like the perspective of being slightly below Batman with the smoke and powerful fists. It draws the eye up the image from the gargoyle to Batman and the buildings behind. Very nice artistry.
