DescriptionYou know Murphy is a modern master when a page featuring a library as its lead can take your breath away. Just look at that spiral staircase, the balconies, the stacks with all those books, the rolled-up map, the chair, the lighting on Jack, the safe and guard, the reflection on the floor, the hundreds of books, the ladder...But even with all this visual goodness, the best part is the simple eye flow. The conversation leads you the dark side of the bookshelf – right down to Jack. That simple flow is so purposeful, making sure you focus on the important parts before setting you free to explore the entire library. Wow. Thanks Steve. As a bonus, if you remove the dust jacket from the hardcover (regular edition), you'll find the lower half of this page as its cover. Social/Sharing |

Man, love those inks. So much scratchy detail, but I'm even more impressed with the depth exhibited. Whew. Congrats!

I'm in love with this page! Congrats! His stuff is epic! Murphy is one of those artists where I prefer interiors over even covers.

There are flashier pages, but this one really showcases why SGM is so talented. It is one thing to bring characters to life, it's another to give life to the environment as well. This space feels lived in and real, with its own stories to tell. This scene is just so much more impactful with Jack lost amongst all these books and shadows. Great pickup.

Yep, Andrew said it perfectly. Immediately we all are transported to that room, the cozy smell of all those old books surrounding us. Likely my favorite page in the series, simply beautiful. Huge congratulations!
