Description

I remember buying the original John Byrne cover off the shelves back in 1985 and was a huge fan of this John Byrne West Coast Avengers Series, in fact maybe my second favorite Byrne Series after his X-Men run. I mage how excited I was when I saw that Adam was doing an Homage to this cover for the Scarlett Witch Series, I had to put this book onto the pull list. Then I happened to be lucky enough to see this pop up for sale when Allison posted it. This is an over sized cover and the details on the original art is slightly different than the published (more detail on the original). I also added the cover for West Coast Avengers here as well.

A beauty of a cover with so much decorative details going into this costume. Hughes puts design work into the look as well as the feel with the illustrative textures. The strong foreshortening of the extended arm towards us is not something many artists would dare attempt!
