Description

This is the original cover art to DC Comics Presents 84. Unlike many Kirby pieces from this period that original pencils were returned to Jack after inks were light-boxed, Theakston actually inked directly on top of Kirby's pencils on this twice up large art. Kirby's pencils are still visible under in several notable areas, including he Superman "S" Shield - Kirby notoriously could never quite get the symbol right.

This is my absolute favorite piece in my collection. It also features the Challengers of the Unknown by their creator. This hangs at the entrance to man cave so I can see it everyday.
