Don Heck - Frank Giacoia (Frankie Ray) The Avengers #27 Original Art (Marvel, 1966).

From the era lovingly referred to as "Cap's Kooky Quartet", this page features Captain America and the Scarlet Witch versus the forces of Attuma! It's a twice-up scale action page with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5".
I'm very happy to have another Silver Age Marvel piece!

Ecco un bel pezzo di storia Marvel, una tavola del n.27 di The Avengers del 1966, in piena Silver Age, matite di Don Heck e inchiostri di Frank Giacoia!
Questa pagina presenta Capitan America e Scarlet Witch contro le forze di Attuma! Si tratta di una pagina d'azione di grande formato, realizzata su foglio di circa 35 x 50 cm.

Gli originali di questo periodo sono sempre più ricercati dai collezionisti vintage, soprattutto negli ultimi anni, a prescindere dal disegnatore, sono ormai considerati pezzi storici. Le tavole di J. Kirby è roba per ricchi, per fortuna quelle di Heck, a parer mio di ottima qualità soprattutto inchiostrate da Giacoia, danno ancora l’opportunità di portarsi a casa un pezzo della Silver Age senza finire sul lastrico!

Grande (in tutti i sensi) pagina d'azione, i pannelli con Cap e Attuma sono i miei preferiti. E, come dici tu, un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo 😉

Large Art Avengers in action! Attuma made for a great foil as a crossover villain from Namor as he could use his armies to cause wider destruction that required the whole Avengers team to defeat.
