I think you're mistaken, Bill Sienkiewicz did the covers; but the interiors are listed as inked by Willamson according to all the credits I can find, while the penciller varies between Al Williamson, Carlos Garzón, Ron Frenz https://www.marvel.com/comics/issue/54533/star_wars_return_of_the_jedi_1983_4

According to the pages that Heritage has sold, and those on CAF in other's collection it was actually Williamson pencils, and Garzon inks.

From what I what I remember Williamson & Garzon illustrated most of the story. but due to deadline problems other artists filled in to get the book out in time simultaneously with the release of the film.
