DescriptionMy first MYSTERY SKETCH (Spring 2024) and commission that wasn’t a gift.Thank you Ben Templesmith for this very beautiful Psylocke (Kwannon). I really enjoy your perspective and unique voice. Templesmith’s art reminds me a bit of Jeff Lemire crossed with Martin Simmons. I really enjoyed his work on TEN GRAND and love that I got to get a piece from his creative hands. It’s a great pose and great use of colors and background. This piece screams PSYLOCKE (Kwannon) in many ways for the elegance and power in her pose and costume, color choices of bluish/black, purple with a hint of red; and the psychic knife and sword in hand. If walking the convention floor and I saw this piece for the price I paid, I would definitely pick this up. Thanks to the Mystery Sketch idea, I got a fun piece from an artist I may never really have connected with. Social/Sharing |

Wow, this is great! Trademark Templesmith colors and shapes that add up to a very cool image! An absolute steal.

It's great Templesmith paints! Less horror tinged than his usual work too. With artists choosing what they wanted to work on in Mystery Sketches, Templesmith must have been itching to do this!

this def turned out really nice. vivid colors, but not too bright. just the right tone for Psylocke and his style works just right for the character. It's cool to see people being happy with their results for these mystery sketches on CAF and this totally feels like a piece beyond a "sketch"
