Description

Vittorio Cossio con il fratello Carlo sono stati due tra i disegnatori storici del fumetto italiano, in particolare Vittorio Cossio ha lavorato su testate quali Rin-Tin-Tin, Corriere dei Piccoli, Jumbo, L'Audace, Il Vittorioso, giusto per citarne alcune tra le pi� conosciute. Tra i suoi lavori per� spiccano alcuni di particolare bellezza, a mio parere poco conosciuti, le splendide illustrazioni a mezzatinta acquerellata che realizzava per alcune riviste dell'epoca in stile pin-up americane. Questa illustrazione che ho inserito fu realizzata negli anni '40 per la Rizzoli. Non solo Cossio ma moltissimi disegnatori dell'epoca realizzavano molte illustrazioni per libri e riviste, sicuramente per arrotondare il loro ristretto stipendio!

Davvero un bel modo per aprire la tua nuova collezione di illustratori del '900 ;) Splendida pin-up di Vittorio Cossio, che per stile e tecnica utilizzata mi ricorda un altro talentuoso artista di poco posteriore: Aldo Torchio

Non conoscevo questo artista ma gran bella illustrazione che ci permette di rivivere a pieno le atmosfere degli anni 40 (vestiario, acconciature ecc.)

In the year 1951 a young Vittorio Cossio was working inside the roman redaction of the weekly magazine "Il Travaso", together with stunning artists as Barbara, Attalo, Kremos and others ... is very probable that this illustration comes from that era ...
