Description

This goofy event had an devolution theme, changing some heroes into monkeys (or apes). The main story in this issue ("This Man... This Monkey!") featured Red Ghost and Speedball. Each issue of this event also contained a brief chapter at the back concerning the misadventures of Charles Darwin in modern times.

This issue's installment of that secondary story, seen here, opened with this splash of the FF, including a super-evolved Reed Richards controlling a brutish ape version of himself, a "Simian Torch," and a regular human Sue Richards. They're in Apesgard, wrapping up a battle against ape versions of Loki and Enchantress, seen lying on the ground. For their next trick, the FF return to Earth and turn Charles Darwin into the "Low Evolutionary." OK then... See the published page for the humorously wordy title of this little chapter.

Reed's belt buckle is the "walking fish" Darwin bumper sticker. His control panel has four settings: Fling, Rest, Attack, and Sleep. What about "eat"? The sky is full of reverse Kirby Krackle for stars. A bit of the Bifrost Bridge can be seen in the bottom left corner.
