Description

Batman Annual (Vol. 3) #3 original cover art for "Father's Day" (February 2019). This specific story, which dives into the relationship between Bruce and Alfred, tells a story about a very rough night for the Dark Knight from Alfred's perspective. It is a super cool story and really highlights how Alfred has acted as a father figure for Bruce, and is also a great showcase of Tom Taylor's writing talent. The cover is a magnificent depiction of Batman, as he stands atop a gargoyle high above the city as rain falls around him, his cape billowing behind him. The depth in the image is incredible and really makes you think you are standing way above the city with him. The cover was both penciled and inked by the amazing Bryan Hitch, and his skill really shines throughout this image. Done on 11" X 17" art board.
