DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR THE LINK IN OUR FEBRUARY 2021 AUCTION!11x16" DC Comics artboard features pen and ink original art by Graham Nolan, inked by Tim Dzon for Doom Patrol Vol. 2, #17, published by DC Jan. 1989. Art is from Invasion tie-in and page 29 features eight panels, showing Doom Patrol and Sea Devils members witnessing explosion alongside Aquaman. The explosion results in the death of Doom Patrol member Celsius (who was also The Chief's wife). First panel shows Doom Patrol members Negative Woman, Tempest, Robotman, Scott Fischer, Lodestone and Aquaman as well as Doom Patrol villain Garguax's team of Sirens. Last panel shows the team swimming towards the Sea Devils' Devil-1 manta ship, Robotman carrying the body of Celsius. Aquaman appears in first, seventh (alongside Lodestone) and last panels. Nolan has signed in blue ink at bottom center. Top margin has stamped "Doom Patrol" title and inked issue/page numbers and has been trimmed. Top/bottom margins have single strip of tape at edges. Back has DC copyright stamp. Art remains clean and Exc. Social/Sharing |
