DescriptionJeff Scott Campbell is tremendously talented and in great demand. Previously, I've had no luck with con sketches, but bought a prelim from Mitch and found some Gen 13 pages at a used book store. At the CTNX Animation Expo in Burbank, I got on his list and showed Jeff some of the Miyazaki pieces I've gotten over the years. I let him choose and he figured to do either totoro or Kiki. I was helping at my brother's booth across the room, but I heard one of my friends put in a good word for me with Jeff. Another friend reported Jeff spent much of Saturday on it. Jeff had said he was doing head shots, but when I checked in later, there was the older sister Satsuki and all three of the totoros from My Nieghbor Totoro. It was finished on Sunday and I'm ecstatic with the result. Jeff thinks only the girl looks like his style. I greatly appreciate the time he took to set up a wonderful scene with multiple characters and including the umbrella which Satsuki loaned to totoro at the bus stop.Social/Sharing |

Fantastic on many levels. To do such a piece, he must truly know and love the source material.
