Description

Mick Gray is best known as an inker for Patrick Gleason on Superman, J. H. Williams on Promethea, and Ryan Sook for various projects. I first met him at a store signing at Treasure Island Comics in Fremont, CA and we both attended an art collectors' dinner in San Jose. We are Facebook friends and I saw he went to see Disney's Moana and came home to watch Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle with his daughter on December 26, 2016. So we agreed on two consecutive commissions last year and Mick chose to do Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Mick says he was introduced to Kiki's Delivery Service, then Spirited Away by J. H. Williams way back when. Mick's appearance at Silicon Valley Comic Con was a good occasion for another piece and he chose Kiki.
