Description

On Friday morning, my friend John calls me to say Jo Chen was at the Udon booth doing headshots. I walked over and joined the line while I pondered my request. I'd certainly be happy with a Buffy, but I chose to ask about doing a Miyazaki character. As the ribbon in her hair makes for easy identification and I had my Studio Ghibli Kiki drawings for reference, I asked Jo for the young witch. Many of her fine comic book covers are included in her The Art of Jo Chen: Illustration Collection, a great looking book.
