Description

The designers of Spider-man and his Amazing Friends wanted a female character resembling Mary Jane but didn't want to actually use MJ so the concept of Angelica Jones/Firestar came about.

This is a conceptual, original pencil model drawing of Angelica Jones by animator Rick Hoberg that took influences from John Romita Sr's initial drawings of her as John was a creative consultant on the show. This is a 3/4 view that represents a 1970's vibe that wasn't eventually used as the show was set in the 80's.
