DescriptionThe designers of Spider-man and his Amazing Friends wanted a fellow teenager to follow along with Spidey's adventures so it was eventually narrowed down to Iceman, a teen figure of the X-men.This is a conceptual, original pencil model drawing of Iceman by animator Rick Hoberg that took influences from John Romita Sr's initial drawings (see below) of him as John was a creative consultant on the show. This is a full body back view that that ultimately wasn't chosen. Compared to the final draft, this one shows less of an icy appearance more akin to Silver Surfer..
