DescriptionTwo words..At last. As my collection starts to slowly phase from commissioned pieces to published work, I'm thrilled to finally cross off one of my favorite artists from my list. I can say with absolute certainty that this will be a cornerstone in my collection. All boxes checked, as every ingredient I look for in a Bisley piece was touched on with this painting. Creepy face? (✔). Chaotic energy? (✔). BISLEY VEINS? (✔)(✔)(✔). I'm at a loss for words with the outcome. I mean... just EVERYTHING. The classic colored costume, the "steampunk-esque" glider design, the flow of the smoke trail. Every detail in this piece came together to construct a truly (BIZ)-ARRE looking Goblin! Now, the icing on the cake? I reached out to Andy Brown from Berserkerart.com to facilitate this commission and after saying that Simon would "quite enjoy" painting Ole'Gobby (which I was stoked to hear), we settled on a torso-only painting. A little less than 2 months later, I get an email from Andy: "Good News! He decided to do a full figure instead of only a torso." - attached was a picture of the inked pencils... Man, I must've looked like a kid on one of those Chuck E. Cheese commercials because I was smiling from ear to ear lol! A month after that, I received a picture of the finished piece and I was completely blown away. All the thanks in the world to Mr. Brown for being a complete professional in the process and of course to Simon for delivering such an amazing work of art. If I ever get the chance to meet you in person, Simon - expect a big hug! Social/Sharing |

Now here's where the fun begins! You have chosen madness and forsaken all reason. Stare into his gaze long enough and you shall find that you will approach the singularity. You may try to resist going any further, but no, the die has been cast, the fates have aligned, the goblin LIVES! Glory be! Where does it end? Where does it begin? How Green was my Goblin? Bisley, save us all!

Killer painting of the Green Goblin by the amazing Simon Bisley! Looks like Biz had a lot more fun messing with the Goblin than Spidey ever did. What a fabulous take on the Green Guy.

This is seriously one of my favorite commissions I have seen from the Biz. Right now I can't remember one being better.
