Description

From Strange Academy issue 12 this is the Arthur Adams Character Variant Cover. Mr. Adams has been doing the character variant covers from this series since it has come out. For this one he focuses on one of the professors of the Academy, Doctor Voodoo. This character has become more and more prominent at Marvel over the last decade and certainly has a bright future ahead with how they are using him. I feel that the inking on this cover is great and it is quite similar in size and look to what show commissions that Mr. Adams has been doing the last couple years (if you can get one). If you have had a chance to read this issue you also see the Doctor is quite integral to this story line as well.

Voodoo school must be tough as it took him 36 years to earn his doctorate as sorcerer supreme. Arthur Adams never fails to astonish.

Another stunner! Mr. Adams is such a talent, counterpointing the intense, defining hatching on the hair and upper face with the "simple outline" of the eyes, to really make it pop... And then lighting the whole thing from below to set it off even more... Incredible work; this is how it's done. Sincere congrats!
