Description

Strange Academy did Character Spotlight covers and this one features fantasticly detailed art by Arthur Adams and the character Zoe Laveau. This is one of the last ones I had tracked down from this cover run. I started to collect the series prior to the start of covid as the last show I was at prior was C2E2 and Marvel was just releasing the series and was really promoting it. During the lockdown period I started to collect alot of orginal art from the series, this cover Mr. Adams planned to hold on to but here towards the end of 2024 I was able to trade ap iece of Mr. Adams older work back to him to get this cover to add to the run. This is one of the more detailed ones he did for the series and you can see why he was trying to hold on to it.

This is an amazing cover! Good lord, all those snakes and the increidble lighting! That's so cool you were able to trade a piece back to him (what piece was it, may I ask?); I spoke with him at NYCC this year and mentioned I had a Monkeyman and O'Brien back cover and he said 'let me know if you want to sell it' ..lol! I don't. but the idea of maybe trading it for a few commissions or something else is slightly intriguing!

Top notch composition and character design right down to the dreads. The snakes and melting candle wax send this over the top! Beautiful cover Brian!

Gorgeous portrait of Zoe Laveau for a Strange Academy cover by the great Arthur Adams. The sheer amount of detail Adams put into this is astonishing. Love all the candle wax melting on the skull. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

You can feel everything is either melting or slithering around while Zoe remains completely still! The lighting of the candles on those snakes are fantastic!

Great lighting effect and some unreal detail brought on with said effect...her hair, the snakes...must look awesome in person. Congrats, Brian!
