DescriptionYou can make an argument that Daniel Warren Johnson is the most exciting new creator on the scene in the last few years. I was eager to see his take on Wonder Woman for DC's Black Label Series and it didn't disappoint.Wonder Woman Dead Earth, written and drawn by DWJ, is set in a post-apocalyptic world literally filled with monsters who have driven mankind to the brink of extinction. DWJ gives a fresh perspective on this classic character by reinforcing what we know, that Wonder Woman is a symbol of hope. On this page she confronts the imprisoned resistance leader to decide if he is worth trusting. The art is hyper-detailed and busy, suiting the harsh world it's set in. Social/Sharing |
