DescriptionJim Lee is known for drawing dynamic figures of DC heroes but this page is a testament that the man can draw more than just action poses. I love the emotional impact on this splash page as Superman embraces Lois before he separates and flies up and away to take on an alien invasion. There is very little dialogue on the published page and you don't need it when the chemistry between them can be felt in the images/faces drawn. For me this is one of the standout Superman splashes from Jim Lee's storied career. As always, the excellent inks of Scott Williams embellish Jim Lee's pencils in a perfect way. Social/Sharing |
