DescriptionNestor Redondo's work on "Rima the Jungle Girl" is some of the most sensuous linework I've ever seen. I don't remember where I found this page (like so many pieces in my collection, I obtained this years ago at this or that comic-con) but I know it jumped out as I went through a dealer's stack of original art. Probably the best portrait of the title character in the series.Social/Sharing |

Redondo was one of the best at laying down ink both over his own pencils and others.

Gorgeous page. Redondo was a supernaturally deft draftsman whose work completely slays me!

Outstanding page! BTW when I was about 15 (1985 or so) you and Wendy gave me a ride home from Jim Hanley's Universe in Eltingville, Staten Island, NY to after an appearance, so I wouldn't have to take the train home. I gave you a bear claw pendant. Maybe you remember me, maybe not. Anyway, about 35 years later, I still remember your act of kindness, and wanted to thank you again.

Memory isn't crystal clear after 35 years, but we do remember Jim Hanley's Universe, and your own reminiscence rings enough of a bell for us to say "Oh yeah, I do recall that." And I'll guarantee that somewhere in the Warp archives, we still have that pendant.

One of the great Rima pares in the series. And Redondo's style is so recognizable even if he isn't drawing Rima.

Gorgeous page - Rima is still underappreciated in my estimation and here she is with lush inks in every panel!

Beautiful piece by one of the greats on what I think was his signature character.
