DescriptionThis page takes me way back to when I was collecting comics off the spinner racks at our local Pharmacy.I would go and check twice a week after my paper route as a young boy for new comics.Oh man, that was great fun back in those days as it was comics, candy, chips and cokes, lol.I called it the 4"C" club for just me to enjoy all by myself.Being in a family with four other sisters,I had to do something for myself,lol.Social/Sharing |

All good, man! And I'm actually Kahlil, but Kavi is a buddy o' mine, too! I get it - "K" names, not so common :) And spelling...my original comment with 2 mishaps, lol. Congrats again on a great page!

You should trademark that 4C name! First Grim Reaper and he's proving to be a formidable foe taking on all the Avengers!

Love the nostalgia, and this is a fantastic page. My first book off the spinner rack was Avengers 98 - within two years I had a complete collection all the way back to Avengers 1, I was so hooked! Grim Reaper's costume in this first appearance was so gawdy, but I loved it!

Love Buscema from that period. He added so much tension and drama, he became more subdued later on. Panel 1 is a great example of this.

I too remeber the spinner racks. I used to take my bike to pharmacies and small Mom+Pop stores from 95th street to 41st street in 1960s Chicago. Marvel distribution was so poor in Chicago in those days. I remember buying this classic in a Zaire's candy dispenser machine that was retrofitted for comics. Congrats on owning this!
