This page, particularly in the black and white, stands apart as one of the most avant-garde pages of the series. Along with the Cubist portrayal of the surfer on the first page of Issue 5, this is an absolutely unique take on a very old character.

I absolutely adore every page with Ego in this book. Tradd's take on the character oozes the very best pop art has to offer. I have to say I do very much like the first page of issue #5 you mention as well ;).

This page and the whole book SSB3 are one of the absolute miracles posted here on CAF

The Ego pages are the best, IMHO. I mean no disrepect to the colorist, but every SSB page to me is stronger in B&W. Thanks for posting these treasures!
