DescriptionJumping on the big art bandwagon - talk about art in motion, well this thing is a locomotive to hell. Every DPS in this book (or that Trade has ever done, really) is particularly epic. It's Tradd taking the time to say, let's do something NUTS.Surfer's manipulation of his board has been spectacular throughout this run, and here we see a fine example. Using the spear as a fixed point to anchor the orbital slingshot is pure genius. Tradd accelerates us to the point of impact, and then we see the very real struggle to pierce the barrier, a taste of the horror, ending with a gorgeous close shot. But that top panel... Flow of patterns, textures, and cosmic goodness that moves organically through 2 boards wide really hits. The close up to close the scene leaving a big portion blank shows his artistic confidence!

I didn't realize how nice his SSB pages are until I saw them in person. This DPS is incredible!

Fantastic. That top panels with all the lil' surfers is exceptional but I prefer the simplicity of the last one.

This could be a painting on the theme of abstracting motion. He draws comics, but he has the sensibilities of a true fine artist. The only straight lines in the whole piece are the spear to anchor the motion in the first image, and the speed lines used to draw your eyes through the DPS. Beautiful. Big congrats!

In awe of this DPS. So much mind melting art to absorb (at your own risk).
