DescriptionNotes from Adam Hughes' book, Cover Run:"Hands down, this is my favorite Wonder Woman cover that I did during my run. Given my druthers, I will always gravitate towards portraying superheroes as normal people, or at least in normal situations. Why? I have no idea. Is it because so many other artists have the whole "leaping tall buildings" angle covered? Maybe. Is it because I find it marvelously enjoyable to identify with these characters on some level? Definitely. While Superman is almost godlike in his powers and abilities, the fact that he, for example, still has a very human heart that can be broken is how I connect with him. Otherwise, you might as well be experiencing his tale from a mile away with a telescope. Also, this is the one time I felt I really nailed the Wonder Woman I see in my head. I wish I'd been able to draw her like this every time. The build, the rendering, the face - all spot on. And since I never got to draw my Superman/Gen 13 story, it was fun to finally get to draw Lois Lane." Social/Sharing |

Not Kryptonite. Not magic. Supes' biggest weakness is the power of gossip between ladies comparing notes.

I know Superman and Wonder Woman are the focal points here, but my favorite part of this might just be Lois. Adam does some amazing cover layouts, but I do love the simple, slice of life element to this cover. Congrats!
